Japanese masters speak of ma — the negative space that gives form its meaning. A tree pruned with this understanding is not diminished by what is removed. It is clarified. We bring that same attention to every property we maintain. A well-kept landscape looks effortless. That is the point.
Primary Service
This is the heart of the practice. It is not arboriculture — it is closer to a conversation, one that unfolds across seasons and years. We study each tree the way a calligrapher studies a character before setting brush to paper: its structure, its age, the direction of its longing. Then we remove only what obscures. Nothing more. The trees we care for are not shaped. They are revealed.

Observation
We visit your property and do nothing but look. We study the land, the trees, what has been tended and what has been missed. We ask more questions than we answer. Then we go away and contemplate.
Consideration
A written scope of work, clearly priced. We explain what we see and what we propose to do — and what we propose to leave alone. The second list is usually longer.
The Work
We work with intention and observation — whether pruning a specimen tree, installing a new landscape, or maintaining one that already exists. We leave every property better than we found it.

We come back. A well-kept property is not a single project — it is an ongoing relationship. We return each season and build on what came before. The work compounds over time.
